On the morning of July 16, 2020, after intense and meticulous planning by the project team, the groundbreaking ceremony of the 150,000-ton/year CHP Legal Process Propylene Oxide Project of Sinopec Tianjin Branch was held as scheduled.

The project is a "Ten Dragons" research project of Sinopec. It adopts the CHP method to produce propylene oxide process technology jointly developed by Shanghai Research Institute of Petrochemical, Sinopec Shanghai Engineering Co., Ltd., Tianjin Petrochemical Company, and Qingdao Safety Institute of Technology. According to the EPC contract, The project is scheduled to start on-site on July 16, 2020, and the installation will be completed on September 30, 2021. The construction period is 14 months.

In the next step, the 150,000 tons/year CHP Legal Propylene Oxide Project Team of the Shanghai Engineering Tianjin Branch will further refine the arrangements in accordance with the overall requirements of the project, and steadily promote various tasks to lay a solid foundation for the smooth development of follow-up work.
